Iberia and Repsol have completed the Madrid–Bilbao route with sustainable fuel produced from waste at the Petronor Industrial Complex. The flight was operated with an Iberia Airbus A320neo, one of the airline company’s most efficient aircrafts.

Aviation sector presents sustainable taxiing roadmap

The Dutch aviation sector aims to make sustainable taxiing standard at Schiphol by 2030. A 2022 pilot using TaxiBot towing vehicles could cut fuel use by 50-65%. If successful, gradual expansion will follow. Infrastructure changes and zero-emission tow vehicles are in progress to support large-scale implementation.
